Gender equality

Gender equality is a cornerstone of SASO’s work. The organization advocates for women’s rights by promoting their participation in leadership roles and community decision-making. Training programs empower women with skills in entrepreneurship, health awareness, and advocacy, enabling them to challenge traditional norms that limit their potential.

SASO also addresses gender-based violence by providing survivors with counseling, legal support, and safe spaces. By tackling both structural inequalities and immediate challenges, SASO creates an environment where women and men can contribute equally to community development. This commitment to gender equality strengthens social cohesion and accelerates progress toward inclusive growth.

Objectives:

  • Empower women through entrepreneurship and leadership training.
  • Advocate for equal participation in community decision-making.
  • Provide counseling and legal support for survivors of gender-based violence.
  • Challenge harmful cultural norms through awareness campaigns.
  • Promote inclusive development where men and women contribute equally.
